Monica works with small business owners, emerging leaders, and teams, as well as individuals and couples in major life transitions. She helps her clients achieve life-changing goals and find work/life harmony without all the stress.

“Dream It, Plan It, Do It, Live It!” is Monica’s motto. Her coaching is a cooperative and creative process; a platform to clarify issues, raise awareness to what is working and not working for the client in order to generate solutions. In the process, clients learn life-changing skills, strategies and perspectives to stay in action and to reach their maximum potential.

Monica is a certified life, business, and relationship coach and a certified trainer for teams and organizations who want stronger communication, team building, leadership development, and conflict resolution skills.

More from Monica: The Steps That Led Me Here

If I could use one word to describe what I love about life, it would be connection. As an extrovert, I am most energized and in my element when surrounded by and working with people. I grew up in a big family (as one of 10 children!) and have an innate drive to connect with and help others. That quality has inspired me to become incredibly engaged in my community, and a source of empowerment and positive change.

Facilitating awareness and personal growth is my passion. I jump at opportunities to engage my community (and beyond) by doing personal and team coaching, presentations and group trainings, as well as co-founding a women's networking group, Authentic Connections, and taking on leadership roles in several business and community organizations.

My greatest joy in life is family: being a wife to my husband of 37 years, Steve, and the mother of my three incredible children, who have truly been my inspiration on this journey to developing my coaching practice. We had three weddings in three and a half years and boy, did I see the value of coaching through those big life transitions! It is the reason why I developed a separate wedding coaching niche - to support the relationships that are under such stress during the pre- and post-wedding phases.

The life I lead is a blessed one, which is why I’ve made it my life’s work to help people wake up to what’s truly possible in their lives. I believe that anything is possible, as long as we align our actions with our values and remain aware of our progress at each step of the way.

New Steps Life Coaching is about helping individuals transform their personal and professional lives from confused, stressed, and overwhelmed to clear, joyful, and at ease. As your brainstorming and accountability partner, teacher and guide, I help you formulate and achieve your most exciting goals while decreasing the amount of emotional energy you have to expend to get there.

I have studied “The Masters” in life and leadership transformation and know deeply that much of success comes when what you think, feel, and do are in alignment. This also involves communication with others and creating relationships that add to your growth, joy, and ease instead of causing stress and overwhelm.

Pulling from a vast array of tools and strategies, I help my clients take bold new steps to achieve the goals they hold most important, beginning with a shift toward positive, outcome-oriented, and strategic thinking.

I've recently opened my own training center in Shelton, CT and will soon be launching a virtual "school" of classes as well. In this small classroom setting the community of participants will be immersed in doing the Inner Work that is necessary to see the Outer Changes we all want; goal setting and achievement, strategic planning, mastermind groups, stress reduction, leadership development, relationship and communication building, and so much more.

I can’t wait to see what steps you take next!

My Coaching Inspiration

When life gives you lemons, it helps to learn to make lemonade rather than getting upset and anxious!  I’ve been inspired by both the wonderful people and experiences in my life, as well as unexpected challenges; disappointments, the loss of loved ones, redefining relationships as my children became adults, struggles on teams and board groups, and my growth as a business owner.

Besides my coach training, I turned to the core teachings of the following speakers and authors and use them often with my clients. Continuing to stay on the cutting edge of what’s going on in the coaching world is important to me, so that my clients receive the very best.
